Meet Your Designer

Our founder Sarah Stermer was so well-known for her tree planting work, that soon students christened her “Sarah Sapling.”

Though she has since put a pause on her reforestation efforts, (but we plant one tree with each client sign-up!) she carries the spirit of Sarah Sapling forward by working with amazing sustainability clients to further
their environmental missions.

Sarah’s background in environmental advocacy,
non-profit communications, and art led her to establish Branch & Bay Design Studio as a creative force for nature. Her study of Environmental Studies and Graphic Design has allowed her to work with a variety of mission-driven businesses and organizations that are changing the world for the better.

Getting to work with amazing clients like green school non-profits, eco-friendly yoga studios and salons, sustainable farming initiatives, and environmental educators has helped Sarah to develop a deep understanding of her clients’ design and marketing needs. It has been a joy to craft gorgeous brands that inspire action and make a real difference for the humans and more-than-humans on this planet!
